His Early Life

William Marrion Branham was born on April 6, 1909, in Burkesville, Kentucky, USA, and was raised in a humble home in Jeffersonville, Indiana. From birth, his life was marked by supernatural experiences, including a Light appearing in the room when he was born. As a young boy, he began having visions and hearing a Voice speaking to him, calling him to a divine purpose.

His Calling and Ministry

In 1933, while baptizing people in the Ohio River, a supernatural Light appeared over him, and a Voice said, “As John the Baptist was sent to forerun the first coming of Christ, so are you sent with a Message to forerun His second coming.” This moment confirmed his prophetic calling.

His ministry was accompanied by signs, wonders, and miracles, fulfilling Luke 17:30, which speaks of the revealing of the Son of Man in the last days. Through divine healing campaigns, thousands were healed of incurable diseases, the blind received sight, the deaf could hear, and even the dead were raised.

The Message of the End Time

William Branham preached that God sent him as the promised Elijah of Malachi 4:5-6 to turn the hearts of the children back to the apostolic faith before the great and dreadful day of the Lord. His Message emphasized:

1. The One True God – Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8).
2. The Mystery of the Seven Church Ages – Revealing God’s plan for the Church from the time of the apostles to today.

6. The Return to Apostolic Christianity – Rejecting denominational traditions and returning to the original teachings of Christ and the apostles.

His Departure

On December 18, 1965, William Branham was in a serious car accident. He passed away on December 24, 1965, leaving behind a Message that continues to prepare the Bride of Christ today.

The Impact of His Ministry

Though he has gone to be with the Lord, his teachings remain alive. His recorded sermons, containing over 1,100 messages, are still studied worldwide, guiding believers in the End-Time truth. The Pillar of Fire that appeared in his ministry was even scientifically documented, confirming the divine nature of his calling.
